Scottish Sporting/Machars 19-20/05/2012

With a completely rebuilt car following last month's disaster, this was always going to be a nerve wracking weekend for David - back at the scene of the crime!

The weather on Saturday was absolutely freezing and we both spent most of our time trying to keep warm.  The car was behaving though and we both got well under the class record.  Just a shame we hadn't done it last time.

Sunday was an incredible change with warm balmy weather and teeshirts all round.  The slicks didn't like it though and were clearly taking a lot of wear with 2 drivers doing consecutive runs.  By the end of the afternoon, the near side front was looking very worn indeed, despite swapping tyres round and times were a little slower than the previous day, probably reflecting overheating of the rubber.

A great weekend - certainly compared to the last outing and although David was a little off the pace, he was glad to get down to the time the data logger said he was doing when he fell off!

Here's a couple of runs we got some video of.  They're not the fastest of the weekend, but it took us a while to get back into the way of remembering to turn everything on and off!

Managed to find some time to take a few photos as well
